The Pirelli Scorpion Rally STR is a premium, high-performance dual-sport on/off-road knobbly enduro tire engineered specifically for modern adventure, dual-purpose, and street enduro motorcycles. it is designed for riders who demand the aggressive look of a knobby tire without sacrificing street handling, safety on wet surfaces, or long-distance comfort.
Technical Features
- Innovative Knobbly Tread Geometry: Features larger, wider central blocks with a reduced longitudinal distance between the knob lines. This design yields an increased contact patch on the tarmac, drastically lowering road noise, maximizing high-speed stability, and optimizing even wear while retaining deep terrain penetration off-road.
- High-Silica Single Layer Compound: The tire tread incorporates a specialized compound containing more than 55% silica, combined with carbon black and advanced resins. This structural formula delivers high tear resistance, premium abrasion resistance, and trusted mechanical grip in both dry and wet road conditions.
- Street Enduro Profiles: Derived from the highly rated Pirelli Scorpion Trail II, the structural contours feature increased width and height to optimize shock absorption, lean angle agility, and consistent feedback when cornering on asphalt.
- Differentiated Density Steel Belt: Utilizing radial building architecture, the 0-degree steel belt features targeted stiffness variations across the profile to prevent block deformation under full touring luggage weights and heavy bike loads.
🏍️ Performance
- On-Road (Approx. 70%): Delivers precise street handling, reduced road vibration, and excellent braking confidence under wet or cold weather operations. It holds high speed-ratings (up to V-rating/240 km/h on select sizes) making it perfectly suited for high-speed highway touring.
- Off-Road (Approx. 30%): Highly capable on hard-packed fire roads, gravel tracks, loose dirt, and rocky trails. However, its closely-spaced street-biased blocks mean it is not intended for deep mud, thick soft sand, or competitive technical enduro cross-country terrain where self-cleaning lugs are required
