The BMC FM595/04 (and its "Race" variant FM595/04RACE) is a high-performance, washable air filter designed for specific Yamaha YZF-R6 models. It acts as a direct replacement for the original stock filter, designed to increase airflow by 18.5% to 33.5% (depending on the version) while maintaining filtration efficiency.
Compatible Motorcycle Models:
  • Yamaha YZF-R6 600 (2010–2016)
  • Yamaha YZF-R6 600 (2017–2020)
  • Yamaha YZF-R6 RACE 600 (2021–2024)
Key Features & Notes:
  • Design: Made of multi-layered cotton gauze soaked in low-viscosity oil, protected by an epoxy-coated alloy mesh.
  • Performance: Designed to improve throttle response and engine power.
  • Maintenance: Washable and regenerable, meaning it does not need to be replaced after one use.
  • Configuration (Race Version): The "Race" version (FM595/04RACE) may include a removable air restrictor. If the restrictor is not used, the filter is intended for track use only.
  • OEM Part Compatibility: Replaces OEM part numbers including 13S1445020, 13S1445000, and 13S144503000.
It is recommended to clean the filter every 25,000 km for optimal performance.
